A good design is just a pretty picture
if the appropriate production technology is amiss. This is why Numarine
uses the most advanced technology available and constantly updates its boatyard
with new materials and equipment.
Utilization of state of the art materials and automated milling machines
enable Numarine to standardize and speed up the production process.
The structures of the Numarine yachts are constructed by PVCfoam/unidirectional
and multiaxial E glass with Aramid reinforcement/Vinylester
resin/sandwich construction, utilizing GSS
(Grid Stiffening System). The building process includes vacuum assisted
infusion along with post curing for the entire structure.
This construction method and the high-tech materials ensure a superior weight
to strength ratio. We are proud to state that all Numarine boats have achieved
60% glass/resin ratio, thus resulting in a stronger, lighter
and faster vessel. Another benefit is the lower center of gravity for increased
stability.
The construction of the hull and deck is a sandwich shell with longitudinal
stringers that run between perpendiculars and transverse bulkheads to form
a unified structure. Bulkheads are built using PVC closed cell foam, which
have been engineered as a part of the yachts’ structure.
